1. Who we are
kempbellacademy.com (the “Site”) is operated by Kemp Advisory Group, LLC, a Texas limited liability company based in Tyler, Texas (“we,” “us”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the Site collects, why, and the choices you have.
2. What we collect
Information you give us (adults only)
- Launch list: your email address, so we can tell you about Kempbell Academy news and launches.
- Contact form: your name, email address, organization (optional), and your message, so we can reply.
- Kempbell Academy Parent Center (part of the Learning Membership): a 4-digit Parent PIN (stored only in scrambled form), a record of the permission you give or withdraw (date, time, and Notice version; no IP address), your report settings, up to 2 extra email addresses you choose to receive progress reports, the date you last signed in (to find inactive accounts), and whether you turned on “Remember for next year.” Your children’s learner profiles (including the first name you type, which only you see) are described in the Children’s Privacy Notice.
- Kempbell Academy Membership membership (parents only): your email address, used to sign you in with a one-time code; your plan, membership status, and renewal date; and a customer ID from our payment processor. Payment details, such as your card and billing address, are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us. We never see or store your full card number.
Our forms are for adults 18 and older. Please don’t include information about children in messages to us.
Information collected automatically
Like every website, our hosting provider automatically receives basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for, and the time. It’s used to deliver the Site and to keep it secure. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or other tracking tools, and we don’t build profiles of visitors.
3. How we use information
- To reply to your message or send the launch notice you asked for.
- To run Kempbell Academy learner profiles you create, including saving learning progress, showing it to you, and emailing the weekly and Year-End Progress Reports you ask for.
- To run Kempbell Academy Membership: sign you in, take payments through Stripe, confirm your membership, unlock members-only content, and send receipts and important account notices. We don’t send marketing email unless you ask for it.
- To keep the Site secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
- To follow the law and protect our rights and the safety of our family and users.
We don’t sell or rent personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or use it to build marketing profiles.
4. Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site. They may use it only to provide their service to us:
| Provider | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| Netlify, Inc. | Website hosting, form handling, and server functions |
| Supabase, Inc. | Secure database and parent sign-in for Kempbell Academy Membership and Kempbell Academy learner profiles |
| Resend | Sending Kempbell Academy emails: sign-in help, Parent PIN reset codes, permission confirmations, and weekly and Year-End Progress Reports |
| Stripe, Inc. | Payment processing, sales tax, receipts, and the billing page for the parent’s Kempbell Academy Membership membership only. Stripe never receives children’s information. Stripe handles card details under its own privacy policy. |
| Namecheap, Inc. | Our business email (hello@kempbellacademy.com) |
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business. In that case this Policy would continue to protect it.
5. Videos, social media, and links
Our videos are hosted by YouTube and TikTok. YouTube videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and a video loads from those services only when you press play. Once it does, those services may collect information under their own privacy policies. Photos in some games load from Unsplash, a free photo service, which receives basic technical information such as your IP address. No personal information is sent. Links to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, or our online store take you to sites with their own policies, which we don’t control. Purchases made through our online store are covered by that store’s checkout terms and privacy policy.
6. Cookies and device storage
We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Kempbell Academy free practice use your browser’s local storage to remember scores, outfits, settings, and learning progress on your device only. It isn’t sent to us. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings or from the Kempbell Academy parent area. If a parent signs in to Kempbell Academy Membership or a Kempbell Academy parent account, our sign-in provider keeps a small sign-in token in the browser to keep you logged in, and we set one secure, essential cookie (gc_member) that only says whether this device may open members-only content. It contains no name or email and is not used for tracking. Stripe may use its own essential cookies on its checkout and billing pages to prevent fraud.
Because we don’t track you across websites, there is nothing for “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals to switch off, but we honor them anyway.
7. Children
Parts of the Site are made for children: Kempbell Academy. These areas have no ads, chat, public profiles, or photo uploads, and children can’t buy anything. Kempbell Academy Membership is purchased only by a parent on a separate parent page, through Stripe. Our games and printables don’t collect any personal information. Kempbell Academy learner profiles are created and controlled by a parent, after the parent gives permission. Children see only a nickname picked from a list; the child’s first name is typed by the parent and shown only to the parent, unless the parent turns on the optional setting to show it to that family’s approved friends. Please read our Children’s Privacy Notice for the full details, including your rights as a parent.
If you believe a child has sent us personal information without a parent’s permission, email hello@kempbellacademy.com and we will delete it.
8. How long we keep information
- Launch list: until the launch notice is sent and you unsubscribe, or 3 years, whichever comes first.
- Contact messages: up to 2 years after our conversation ends, unless we need them longer for a business or legal reason.
- Kempbell Academy Membership billing records: while your membership is active, and afterward for as long as tax and accounting laws require (usually up to 7 years). You can ask us to delete your sign-in account at any time.
- Hosting logs: kept by our host for a short period under its own retention settings.
- Kempbell Academy learner profiles: detailed learning activity is kept for one school year; around June 15 we email a Year-End Progress Report, and on July 1 we save that report and delete the rest. Accounts with no sign-in for 24 months get a warning email, and their child information is deleted 30 days later. Consent records are kept up to 3 years. Full schedule: Children’s Privacy Notice.
9. Security
The Site uses HTTPS encryption. Access to stored information is limited to the people who need it to run the Site. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect information and will notify you if the law requires it.
10. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we have about you, or to remove you from our list, by emailing hello@kempbellacademy.com. Depending on where you live (including Texas and other states with privacy laws), you may have additional rights. We will verify your request and respond within 45 days, and we won’t treat you differently for using your rights. Requests from a parent about a child’s Kempbell Academy information are answered within 10 business days, as our Children’s Privacy Notice explains. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will answer within 60 days.
11. Changes to this Policy
If we change this Policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use children’s information, we’ll notify parents and ask for new permission where the law requires.
